Upcoming conferences in Differential Equations
December 7- 12, 2008.
Workshop on Differencial Equations and Applied Analysis, Hanoi, Vietnam
The scope of this workshop encompasses theoretical, computational, and experimental research on differential equations and applied analysis. This workshop continues the last one with the same intention: to bring together the Vietnamese mathematicians working in the field to exchange their experiences in research and teaching mathematics and report on their new results and applications in the field. Highlighted areas are mathematical analysis (real and complex, harmonic, convex, variational), differential and difference equations, integral equations, stochastic systems, control and optimization, optimal control, qualitative properties and applications, stochastic modelling and probability theory, numerical methods, related topics.

March 28, 2009.
Texas Partial Differential Equations Seminar, Texas State University, San Marcos, TX, USA
This is an annual event that brings together researchers working on partial differential equations and related topics. The Texas PDE has a strong democratic tradition: There are no principal speakers, all talks are allocated the same length of time, and there is no registration fee. The intent is to encourage participation by young faculty and graduate students.

May 7-9, 2009.
The 8th Mississippi State - UAB Conference on Differential Equations and Computational Simulations, Mississippi State University, Mississippi, USA
This Interdisciplinary Conference will provide a joint forum where mathematicians, scientists, and engineers from academia and industry can exchange research ideas involving theoretical and applied developments in differential equations and computational simulations. In addition to the fourteen principal lectures, there will be sessions for contributed talks. Conference participants are encouraged to submit full length manuscripts after the conference. Reviewed manuscripts will be published as a special issue of the Electronic Journal of Differential Equations
Looking forward to your visit to Mississippi State University. Ratnasingham Shivaji and Bharat Soni. Conference Organizers.

Journal statistics

The number of articles published by the EJDE each year from 1993 to 2006 are: 8, 9, 17, 11, 25, 36, 50, 76, 78, 103, 125, 147, 148, 156, 178 respectively.

In 2007, we published 178 and rejected at least 140 manuscripts. (some manuscripts are rejected by editors without notifying the central office). We also published two conferences and one monograph which makes 37 additional articles.

Regarding the time from submission to publication for the year 2007, we have a Median of 127 days, and a Mean of 163 days.

The Mathematical Citation Quotient for 2006 is 0.47. i.e. number of citations divided by number of publications. For an explanation of this factor, please see the webpage http://www.ams.org/mathscinet/help/citation_database_help_full.html

Our main web site was accessed 1320398 times in May, 1313938 times in June, 1246909 times in July 2008. About 40000 times per day (some of these hits come from search engines and mirror sites).
