The Guest Editors for this special issue are

Miranda C.N. Cheng (University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
John Duncan (Emory University, USA)
Shamit Kachru (Stanford University, USA)
Roberto Volpato (University of Padova, Italy and Stanford University, USA)

This special issue focusses on moonshine and related phenomenon, and related topics in string theory and mathematical physics.

The topics include:

  • mock modular forms and harmonic Maass forms;
  • string compactifications with symmetries;
  • vertex operator algebra and 2d CFT;
  • enumerative geometry;
  • arithmetic geometry;
  • 3D gravity.

There are no paper length limits to the submitted works. Deadline for the submission is September 30, 2018.

Submission Rules for Articles to the Issue.

Both original research articles and review papers will be considered (not published or considered for publication elsewhere).

All articles will go through the standard peer reviewing procedure of SIGMA.

If you have your paper ready earlier than the deadline, we encourage you to send it now. The reviewing process starts once the paper is submitted and we will publish the paper as soon as the positive publication decision is made. The paper will be indexed in the relevant databases as soon as it is published without waiting for completion of the special issue.
