Participants are expected to arrive for the dinner on Sunday and leave
after breakfast on Thursday.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The main speakers of this session will be:

"Three Topics in Topological Combinatorics"
and
Ron King
(University of Southampton)
"Schur Functions and Characters of Lie Algebras and
Superalgebras"
There will be time for a limited number of talks by participants (about 25
minutes each talk). However, at this point, there is no space left in
the programme for contributed talks because of the large number of proposed
talks.
New proposals for contributed talks will have to be put on a waiting list.
ACCOMMODATION
Participants will stay in the Grande Hotel da Curia in double rooms or in
single rooms. The indicative rates are the following:
from Sunday to Wednesday
- on a double occupancy basis per person and per day: 68,50 Euro (board
and lodging);
- on a single occupancy basis per day: 92,50 Euro (board and lodging);
Wednesday to Thursday
- on a double occupancy basis per person: 56,50 Euro (dinner
on Wednesday, breakfast on Thursday and lodging);
- on a single occupancy basis: 80,50 Euro (dinner on Wednesday,
breakfast on Thursday and lodging).
HOW TO GET THERE?

If you come by car, you must take Autoestrada A1. You take the
exit in Mealhada and reach Curia on the EN1/IC2.

- You can reach Curia by train from Porto - Campanhã railway
station, or from Lisboa - Gare do Oriente railway station. If you
come from Porto, you can take a fast train (Alfa Pendular or
Intercidades) to Aveiro (about 35 minutes) and then a regional
train to Curia (about 25 minutes). To see the conections consult
www.cp.pt. If you come from Lisboa-Gare do Oriente, you take a
fast train (Alfa Pendular or Intercidades) to Coimbra-B (less
than 2 hours). From there you take a regional train to Curia
(about 25 minutes). See
www.cp.pt. The Grande Hotel da Curia is 15 minutes walking
distance from Curia railway station. See the local
map (Estação
Ferroviária - Railway station). There are also regional trains
from Porto-Campanhã to Curia.
There are some regional trains connecting Lisboa-Gare do Oriente
to Coimbra-B but it will take more than 3 hours.
- There are also daily coaches connecting the three cities
(Lisboa-Coimbra-Porto). The coach stations are not located in the
airports so you must take a taxi or use the public transportation
system to reach them. To find information on time-tables consult the
Rede-expressos
web site (unfortunately only in portuguese). From Coimbra you follow
the instructions above for arriving by train.
- The closest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro in Porto. From there
you take the
Metro to Campanhã railway station (about 33
minutes). From there you follow the instructions above for
arriving by train. If you fly into Lisboa airport, either you
may take a taxi (about 15 minutes and less than 10 Euro), or bus number 5
(only on working days) or number
44 (1,40 Euro), or the Aeroshuttle (3 Euro) to Gare do Oriente railway
station. The tickets may be purchased from the driver as you board the
bus. From there you follow the instructions above for
arriving by train.
